Use Case title: Diverse Middleware Stacks
Short description: NGIs need the freedom to run the middleware stack of their choice. There are political, technical, and sociological reasons why a single middleware software stack cannot be imposed on all NGIs.
Actors involved: NGIs, EGI
Related Requirement. EGI defines an architecture of protocols which NGIs must support but leave them free to chose how to support them.
Steps:
- define minimal set of protocols required to support the interoperation of NGIs.
- define set of tests that can be run against an NGI’s middleware stack to verify that each protocol is properly supported.
