Use Case title: Application- oriented use case:
Short description: The UNGI members intend to develop and to apply the Grid-technologies in their research work in the astro-, geo- and life-sciences. Special attention will be paid to the medical applications and to satellite monitoring together with on-line analysis of natural resources (water, minerals, oil, gas, ecology, climate, etc). All organizations working in these fields will be united in the corresponding VOs inside UNGI with the possibility to be incorporated into the appropriate international VOs. Developing these Grid applications we feel a strong need in an intensive co-operation with the other NGIs which already have some experience in the Grid applications. The EGI support in these activities could be very practical and highly appreciated. Now we are working to adapt the Grid-technologies for actual research in engineering, business, astrophysics (in collaboration with AstroGrid-D), molecular dynamics simulation, for modelling of the Chernobyl eco system, for 3D nonlinear field tasks simulation and also to support the applications for sustainable development and global simulation of a blood circulation system modeling.
