Use Case title: Integration of application into K-Wf Grid

Short description: The process of integrating an application into the infrastructure

Actors involved: Application developer, Application administrator

Pre-conditions: Application developer has a valid certificate and can access UI. The application is a set of WSDL-described web services.

Steps:

  1. Application developer annotates the application services’ WSDL files with information necessary for automatic OWL-S generation
  2. Application developer accesses the UI
  3. Application developer opens the WSRF2OWL-S tab of the UI, and inserts the annotated WSDLs (one at a time)
  4. The K-Wf Grid middleware processes the WSDLs, creates OWL-S description (compatible with generic grid ontology of K-Wf Grid), and registers the services in the service registry

Post-conditions: The application can be accessed via K-Wf Grid middleware and UI

Projects involved: K-Wf Grid

Middleware: Globus Toolkit 4, K-Wf Grid middleware
