Use Case title: Quality-of-Service (QoS) bandwidth demand
Short description: A group of users or an existing Virtual Organization (VO) requires bandwidth QoS
Actors involved: RC operator, network providers
Related requirement: Bandwidth dedicated exclusively to the project
Pre-conditions Bandwidth availability, cooperation with network providers
Steps
- Evaluation of application needs in terms of communication bandwidth
- Evaluation of possible impact on other VOs operating in the network
- Subnetwork creation
- Configuration of routers
- QoS testing: transfers, robustness etc.
Post-conditions (optional) Assignment of bandwidth to dedicated user subnetwork
