Use Case title: Integrating Private Infrastructure for Commercial Usage
Short description: A private company would like to provide on pay per usage basis some clusters where they have free computing time
Actors involved: direction of the private company, stakeholders
Pre-conditions:
- The private company has a significant resource volume (i.e. at least 100 cpu, 10 Tb, good network connection, high stability, etc)
- The researchers that could benefit have a way to pay per usage
Steps:
- The private company contacts the researchers
- The direction of the researchers agrees on support (contract)
- The private company and the research team define the support agreement
- The service machines to access resources are provided, authorization and authentication system is defined and agreed
- The center is “integrated” in an existing framework (for example EGEE)
- Managers of the private company are trained by a contact defined in the framework
