Use Case title: Providing Access to Large Distributed Infrastructure to Private Researchers
Short description: A private company would like to access distributed resources (for example from meteo and environment centers) and process information and share it with other stakeholders.
Actors involved: direction of the private company, their researchers, direction of the resource centers, stakeholders
Pre-conditions: At least two or three different research teams are involved in national or international collaborations The private application requires access to large volume of distributed data or/and large computing power The resource center hosts data or can provide computing power
Steps:
- The private company contacts the researchers
- The direction of the center agrees on support (contract)
- The private company contacts other stakeholders and defines with the resource center the support agreement
- The service machines to access resources are provided, authorization and authentication system is defined and agreed
- The project is “integrated” in an existing framework (for example EGEE)
- Researchers in the private company are trained by a contact defined in the resource center
