Sweden provided information on two NGIs: the Swedish National Infrastructure for Computing (SNIC) and SweGrid. SNIC, under the Swedish Research Council, is a metacentre whose task is to coordinate and develop high end computing capacity for Swedish research. The Swedish Grid infrastructure is in place since September 2003.
